When and why did you begin writing?

In 2017 I began going through a Spiritual Awakening. I had experienced a great deal of trauma in my life, as well as some very bizarre spiritual occurrences. It was time to write a story about these things but in a Science Fiction and Fantasy setting.

Why did you choose to write in your particular field or genre?

I have always been interested in Science Fiction and Fantasy literature from a very young age. I have read thousands of books in both genres, and I felt that I could create a believable combination of both genres.

What is the biggest thing that people THINK they know about your subject/genre that isn’t so?

Many people probably think that it is just a story about alien conspiracy theories. The truth is that it is only the world space I used. The story’s messages and concepts go far more in-depth and are meant to resonate with the reader on a Spiritual level.

Are you a full-time or part-time writer and how does that affect your writing?

I have been a full-time writer since May of 2018. I was blessed with the means to retire from the world and concentrate fully on the craft of writing. It allows me to operate directly in all facets of the writing process.

What are some day jobs you have held?

Well, I was on active duty in the United States Air Force for 24 years, and did a lot of time over in the Middle East as a private defense contractor after I retired from the military. I have also done a lot of consulting work for various intelligence-gathering entities.

Do you have a special time to write, or how is your day structured to accommodate your writing?

I do not have a particular time. I tend to go with the flow. I do all of my free form writing on the notepad app on my phone. I tend to write as the thoughts come to me.

How do you think you’ve evolved creatively?

I think my writing has inspired me to explore my more artistic nature again. I do all of my promotional visuals for marketing and advertising. I have found that where I was a drawing and painting artist before, I now use graphics programs and other expressive outlets to help me promote my brand.

What have you written so far?

My first published work is titled A GAME OF GODS. It was published in June of 2020. I am writing a sequel called “The Jarl’s Shadow,” which will be released right around May of 2021.

Do you work to an outline or plot sketch, or do you prefer to let a general idea guide your writing?

I prefer to let a general idea guide me. I believe in creating a believable world space, fleshing out good relatable characters, and allowing them to adventure as needed to work through my general idea.

What are some ways in which you promote your work? 

I do it all, especially heavy social media promotion of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I have my website for promotion. I also spend quite a bit of time doing interviews or collaborating with reviewers to review my book.
