We are two days into National Novel Writing Month! If you’re feeling a bit of writer’s block but desperate to produce something for #NaNoWriMo, try one of these writing prompts.

I stared at the tiny diamond ring. “I know it’s a kooky idea, but I’ve read of other people who’ve done it. So why not marry myself?”  

Word has it, the town was filled with magical beings. A sanctuary town of sorts. Hopefully, they’ll accept me. 

“So this definitely can’t be good,” he said, peering down at the sinkhole that had appeared minutes ago. 

He handed the hooded woman a receipt, and she hurried away. He shrugged, wishing his job didn’t force him to interact with so many weirdos every day. But a man had to make a living, he figured, and selling counterfeit magical devices wasn’t the worst thing he could be doing. 

“You know things are pretty bad when waking up dead is the least surprising thing that’s happened to you all week.”
